The Brigham & Women’s Hospital Division of Preventive Medicine Biorepository, established 25+ years ago, now features 90 liquid nitrogen (LN2), -80C, and -20C freezers spanning our 5,000 square foot facility.
Our biorepository banks 3.5 million blood, DNA, urine, and saliva specimen aliquots from approximately 250,000 participants across numerous clinical research trials including sentinel clinical trials such as the Women’s Health Study (WHS), Physicians’ Health Study (PHS), and VITamin D and OmegA-3 TriaL (VITAL).
